We love every meal we have at this restaurant. The food is always lovely and they never miss on that. The menu is so seasonal and there are always a good variety of offerings. We love the ambiance and how cool the space is- it has very special touches like candles and the fireplace area that make the whole space come together and feel cozy. The service is so good and everyone is so kind. I'd like to say that our very favorite server who is there currently is Henry he makes us feel so at ease and he's very knowledgeable and we love when we get to see him. One of the best in the biz! Thank you Henry!

I had an amazing dinner at Il Nido in the historic Alki Homestead. The cozy, rustic atmosphere made it feel extra special, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We started with two Valentine's special cocktails ($16 each): the Pre-Nup (vodka, lemon, vanilla, rosewater) was light and floral, while Danielle Steele's Night Cap (gin, kopi coffee vermouth, cassis, orange twist) was a more light and fun replacement for my regular old fashioned. It had an ice cube with a heart shape on it! For appetizers, we had the Burrata ($23) with Anjou pears, confit fennel, and brown butter vinaigrette, the chili crisp gave a nice flavor which was more garlic forward and less spicy in a good way. The server recommended pairing it with the Focaccia ($12) which was warm, fluffy, and had skagit valley potatoes with fresh herbs in it. Our mains were just as impressive. The Fazzoletto ($40), with handkerchief pasta, mushroom ragu, and a silky egg yolk, was rich and comforting. It was my first time trying a handkerchief pasta and finding the pasta doesn't end/break was fun while trying to serve some. The Mafaldine ($33) had a great mix of flavors--ribboned noodles with zesty lemongrass pork sausage, colatura, and Tuscan kale. Il Nido is definitely a spot worth visiting for a special night out!

My partner brought me here for my birthday dinner and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy. It's perfect for date night (with your partner or your girls ‍). All that said, the food is what will bring us back. What a menu! First and foremost, get the focaccia. We got the salumi with it, which I do recommend. Even by itself, though, the focaccia was delicious. We also enjoyed our cocktails. They were well presented and yummy. We both went with pasta for entrees. The mafaldine was our favorite - highly recommend! I found the combination of flavors to be quite thoughtful and well balanced. They have some great dessert options, too. We decided to share the pistachio cheesecake - so good! It turns out he chose this restaurant for that cheesecake, which I would normally make fun of him for but his judgement was on point with this one lol Overall, they gave us a great dinner experience and we'll be returning.

Getting a reservation here was tough! But it was so worth it. We spent a weekday evening here eating a three course, and everything was so delicious. The staff were so kind. There is a ton of room and so much space. The chairs are comfortable and there are curtains between tables for privacy. It's a great place for a fancy dinner to celebrate any special occasion.
